How long is an FSSAI licence valid?
Licences are issued for one to five years, and you choose the term when applying. Renewal must be applied for before expiry, since operating on a lapsed licence is treated as operating without one.
Do home kitchens need FSSAI registration?
Yes. Any business handling food for sale needs at least basic registration, including home based operations and cloud kitchens working from a residential address.
Do I need to print the licence number on packaging?
