MR Filings

Terms and conditions

What we take responsibility for, what stays with you, and what neither of us can promise because a government department decides it.

Last updated 21 Aug 2026

These terms apply between you and MR Filings when you use this website or engage us for a filing. Engaging us means asking us to begin work on a specific service, whether by email, by phone, by WhatsApp or through the form on this site.

What we do

We prepare and submit registrations, returns, licence applications and intellectual property applications to Indian government departments on your behalf, and we advise on what applies to your business. Filings go out under our professional login, prepared by a chartered accountant assigned to your file.

What we do not do

  • We do not guarantee an outcome that a government department decides. Name approvals, licence grants, trademark registrations and refund claims are decided by the department, not by us
  • We do not represent you in litigation, and nothing on this site is legal advice or a solicitor-client relationship
  • We do not backdate documents, sign on your behalf without your authorisation, or make a representation to a department that you have not confirmed to be true
  • We do not hold ourselves out as the auditor of any company we file for, where independence rules prevent it

Your responsibilities

  • Give us accurate and complete information, and tell us promptly when something changes
  • Provide documents you are entitled to provide, and have the authority of anyone else whose documents you send us
  • Respond within the window a department gives for a query or objection, because those windows are not extendable by us
  • Pay the professional fee and the government charges when they fall due, since most filings cannot be submitted until the statutory fee is paid

Where a filing is rejected, delayed or penalised because information you gave us was wrong, incomplete or late, the consequences of that rest with you.

Fees and government charges

Our professional fee is quoted before you pay and is separate from government charges. Government filing fees, stamp duty, state levies and third-party charges such as digital signature certificates are passed through at actuals. They vary with your state, your authorised capital, your applicant category and your turnover slab, so no fixed figure can honestly be quoted for them in advance.

Our published price promise is that we will do the same scope of work for ten percent less than a current written quote you send us from a comparable online filing platform. It applies to professional fees on like-for-like scope and turnaround. It does not apply to government charges, which are statutory and identical whoever files them.

Timelines

Timelines shown on this site are working-day estimates based on how long these filings normally take once every document has been verified. They are not commitments, because the processing time is the department's and not ours. We tell you when something has slipped and why.

Digital signatures and portal access

Where a filing requires a digital signature certificate in your name, you authorise us to use it for that filing and for related correspondence with the department. The certificate remains yours. We do not use it for any other purpose and we do not retain your personal portal passwords where a professional login is available to us.

How we contact you

We may contact you by phone, email or WhatsApp about a filing you have engaged us for, including reminders before a due date. You can ask us to stop using any of those channels at any time.

Content on this site

The guides, articles and explanations on this site are general information, current as at the date shown on each page. Statutory rates, thresholds and due dates change. Do not act on a page here without confirming it applies to your facts, and do not treat any of it as advice given to you specifically.

The text, layout and design of this site belong to us. You are welcome to read, print and share links. You may not republish substantial parts of it as your own.

Limits of our liability

  • Our total liability for any engagement is limited to the professional fee you paid us for that engagement
  • We are not liable for statutory penalties, interest or additional fees arising from information supplied late or incorrectly by you
  • We are not liable for delays caused by a department, a portal outage, or a change in law or procedure
  • Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including liability for fraud

Ending an engagement

You can end an engagement at any time, and the refund policy sets out what is returned. We may end an engagement where we are asked to make a filing we believe to be false or unlawful, where documents needed to proceed are not supplied within a reasonable time, or where fees remain unpaid. If we do, we tell you in writing and hand over what has been prepared.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Indian law. The courts at Ongole, Andhra Pradesh have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Complaints

Complaints go to our Grievance Officer. Write to hello@mrfilings.in or call +91 63033 55851. Post reaches us at 22-1-3 Rajapangal Road, 7th Line, Ongole, Andhra Pradesh 523001. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

Something here unclear

Ask before you engage us rather than after. A chartered accountant will answer, not a script.
